What we measure and why
With your consent, Google Analytics and Umami Cloud measure visits and how pages are used to help improve this portfolio’s content. You can allow either tool, both or neither. Neither loads before you accept, and declining does not restrict access to the website.
Only recognised public page paths are sent, without query parameters or URL fragments. Referring sites, free-form page titles, names, email addresses and form contents are not sent. Personalised advertising, Google Signals, additional user identifiers, session recordings and heatmaps are not enabled.
Google Analytics uses browser identifiers in cookies and technical data to produce visit and session statistics. Umami measures visits without tracking cookies. Both providers receive connection information, such as the IP address and browser; the absence of names should not be mistaken for complete anonymity. The reports do not reveal each visitor’s name.
Your choice
This measurement is based on your consent. The notice lets you accept, reject or configure each tool. Closing the notice, clicking outside it or continuing to browse does not constitute consent. Analytics options are disabled by default.
You can change or withdraw your choice using “Analytics preferences” at the bottom of any page. Withdrawal stops new transmissions and removes the Google cookies created by this integration; it does not delete previous reports or cancel a request that has already been sent. Withdrawing consent does not reload the page or clear forms.
“Do Not Track” and “Global Privacy Control” are respected: when either is active, measurement stays disabled. Local testing, previews and paths outside the public content do not activate tracking. If a blocker prevents measurement, you can still browse the website.

Saving your privacy choice does not authorise analytics. You can delete these items in your browser; if you remove your choice, the notice will appear again on your next visit.
Providers and report retention
The recipients of measurement data are Google, through Google Analytics, and Umami, through Umami Cloud. Infrastructure and subprocessors outside the European Economic Area may be involved. Their terms describe the processing and safeguards for international transfers: Google’s data processing terms, Google’s privacy policy and Umami’s privacy policy. You can request further information about these safeguards at the email address provided.
Cookie duration is not the same as report retention. The Google Analytics property is configured for 2 months of event data and 14 months of user data; the user retention period resets with new activity. Standard aggregated reports are not subject to those same periods. Umami Cloud uses the European region and the Hobby plan, with 6 months of retention. These reports are used to compare the portfolio’s development and review its content, not to identify people. You can contact the controller about their deletion.
Contact and preferences
If you use the form, the data you provide is used to receive and answer your enquiry through a process separate from analytics. You can request information or deletion of your enquiry by writing to the email address provided. Your light or dark theme preference is stored locally in your browser.
Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability where applicable, or withdraw consent, by writing to hello@manuelgarciallera.com. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of previous processing. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
